J.T.'s Photo Gallery

I was lucky enough to find some people (some of whom I had never met before) to spend a few days with in the ole backyard.

On 8/4, Todd, Lauren, Zach, Katie, and Collen all made a dash out to the lakes in the blistering heat !!

Todd suddenly began asking questions about the peak he could see.  Not wasting any time, I quickly convinced him that he and I should climb it.  P.T. Barnum was right ... off we went on a day-of-days !!

We climbed the West Ridge (right, above).  We summited in shorts and a t-shirts (hoping for a breeze, even).  We both took our last sips of water at the top !!

Out of water and in the heat we made a mad dash for the lakes !

We actually joined Arc in a dip !!  Arc is the only one photoed, though (there is enough bad porn on the internet these days):

The next day, I talked Elise into going back to the lakes.  Although the high pressure was gone, the beauty remained.

Even in our first outing, Elise knows to check the map when I offer directions:

On our way up Triangle:

The second day, we ventured back into the Flute Glacier valley.  This waterfall is raging in the summer (and globally warmed) heat.  It is also the first step that we ascended:

The second step:

Above the third step ... The Flute !!

Cottongrass - I should have taken pictures of some of the other flora also (moonwort, star gentian, shrubby cinquefoil, to name a few).

Elise: happy in the sun and dwarf fireweed.
