Shots from a long weekend in San Diego .. while it was 4- and raining in Anchorage, Adrienne and I joined her bro, Andrea, Holly (or is it Molly ...) and even Ben for fun in the sun. Shorts. T-shirts. And lots of humiliating sports (ones that require hand-eye coordination - all that running is beginning to take its toll on the "ball sports" scene).
Although Squash took the cake for the most embarrassing athletic endevor, surfing was right up there !!
Holly kindly took photo instead of subjecting us to the wrath of local sharks.
I was constantly amazed at the flowers. In DECEMBER !!
Especially the Birds of Paradise !!
Finally, we needed a break from the "country club sports" and we went on a hike in the nearby Anza Borrego State Park.
On our last day we tried to eek out a bit more sun.
This shot was taken within ten yards of Scott and Andrea's apartment. Note the heated pool on the left and the hot tub on the right. Also note that a cannon ball soon followed this shot. Much to the object of the photo's dismay.
