Labor of Love Day Weekend
Scott, Adrienne, Arc, Mac and I went on the Swan Lake to Moose River Canoe trip. Really it is a two day trip (from the east entrance) but by doing it in three this allowed us one day to base camp, explore, and relax (especially relax ... school started the day following the trip !!).
It did not take Arc long to get used to being in the canoe:
Portaging was definitely a big part of how we spent our days !!

Swans (where else) on Swan Lake (these two actually preferred to hang out within 100 feet of our campsite all three days we were there !!):

On the Moose River - it started about two canoe widths wide and over the course of about 16 miles became about a 1/4 mile wide :
