LCNP Trip 1: Day 7
On our last day we thought we could easily continue bobbing on down the river
and have a relaxing day floating to Lake Clark. Of course, this did not
turn out to be the case. We miscalculated how long it was going to take us
to get to the lake and then the wind picked up (in our faces) making us have to
work even harder to not be too late. Even with all that, we arrived at the
lake and Dan Young had not left, yet. It is rare to show up at the finish
of an Alaskan trip and have your ride waiting there for you. Not only that
but he had two pops for us as well. Thanks, Dan!

At the delta we rolled up our boats and just walked to the lake - this was MUCH easier then fighting the wind through the long, round-about channels. |
