Ch 0 Teaching Project

Your group will be responsible for teaching one of the following sections to the entire class:

0.4 Op Art (Optical Art)

0.5 Mandalas

0.6 Knot Designs

0.7 Islamic Art

0.8 Perspective

Your group will have one day to prepare a lesson for teaching the class about your topic. For this project you will need to:

· every group member need to to all the problems from the Exercise Set from your section

· have all materials prepared beforehand (if you need to ask the class to bring in something special for

your lesson please tell them at the end of this class)

In your presentation you need to do the following:

· demonstrate mastery of the material in your section

· provide at least 1 problem for the rest of the class to do as homework from the textbook (your choice)

· do at least 1 sample problem for the class in your presentation similar to one from the exercise set that

you are assigning as homework

· have the solution(s) to your homework problem(s) worked out on a separate sheet of paper which you

will hand into Mr. Lindholm

You will present your lesson on the second day and turn in the solution(s) to your homework problem(s). You will be graded in three areas:

· preparation of lesson (3 oints)

· presentation of lesson (4 points)

· homework problem(s) – appropriateness and clarity of solution (3 points)

Everyone in class will be responsible for completing the homework assignment and the grades for the homework assignment will be the same (3 points per assignment, -1 if you choose not to do it when it is assigned).

If you need any special teaching tools, please let me know in advance. This material will be on your Chapter 0 Test. You will also be responsible for understanding all this material for successful completion of your final exam.
