Day 29: Take Out L (12/22)
The final day on the river. And it was pretty epic! Unfortunately, the take out was filled with activity so I did not have the camera out. If I did it would have shown amazing winds picking up - so great that if we had tried to arrive two hours later we would not have made it across the lake! Canyon REO was there when we arrived (even though we were an hour early) and Bob and Maureen were also there with fresh fruit and plenty of energy and smiles. Brook's parents were not there, however. Their flight had gotten canceled due to all the winter storms in the Western United States. We were able to give Brook a ride to Las Vegas where we deposited him in a hotel room with slots down the hall. It was tough leaving him in such rough shape, however he insisted and at this point his ankle was still only supposed to be "sprained."
