Day 1: Put-in to Jackass Camp (11/24)After a talk at the put-in by Ranger Dave, we tackled the first rapid (Paria Ripple). We ran Badger then pulled in below it on river left and camped near the mouth of Jackass Creek at Jackass camp. A few folks headed out for a quick hike up Jackass Creek. Double J, Hardcore, and Matt made it to the rim and back into camp in about 2-3 hours but got in well after dark. |
