Day 0: Flagstaff to Lee's Ferry (11/23)

We met the night before at Beaver Street Brewery.  Everyone was there except for Tony and Becky who decided to walk to the put-in and Emily and Luke who had a b-double e-double r - u - n to take care of (and they were coming from their home in Prescott)!  In the morning, we met at Canyon REO and stuffed dry bags, watched an orientation video and performance on how to work with and potentially repair their gear, and basically just asked them questions and made last minute purchases.  We did get to meet Donny the owner and question why exactly does he stand that way.  By noon we were on the road to Lee's Ferry. 

We stepped out of the van and onto the boats, which were already inflated when we got there.  Becky and Tony were there as well, hugs a-flying.  We then loaded up the boats and headed down to a camp right adjacent to the boat ramp.  We dined at the lodge up the road who seemed to be out of more of their menu items then they had in stock.  After a beer or two, we went to sleep with visions of a river dancing in our heads.
