Camp 3: South Canyon Camp (11/26-27)
After a fairly uneventful float through the Roaring Twenties (we scouted 24, 24.5 and 25 ... I would scout any or all of them again but the hardest of the three was 24.5 for us; 24 mile had a pretty sizable hole in it), the rain picked up a touch and we made the tough decision to forgo hiking up Silver Grotto (guess I just have to go back...). We spent two nights at South Canyon. On the layover, Matt, Tony, A and I had a great hike to the rim up a well marked trail. It is always fun to get up high and look down on the river and canyon.
