Camp 19: Travertine Canyon (12/18)
We had lunch at Diamond Creek where Donny picked up nine folks, three rafts, and a bunch of ammo cans of waste of all kinds. He also dropped off fresh water and food to last seven of us another five days. It was a bittersweet good-bye. It was tough to break up the whole load of traveling companions of 25 days but traveling with seven people (especially these seven) was such an unbelievable treat. Our first camp was at Travertine Canyon (all of about an hour from lunch). The canyon was a hoot!! We also had a great first night - warm, dry, and full of song, good food, and the camaraderie that makes you just want to stay on the river forever.
